“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you Go.”
These were the words from scripture that Patricia would often share with me. They were the words that got her through the most difficult times of the battles she faced. They were also the words I needed to hear from God to prepare me for the rest of the journey.
I already had thought the house of Patricia and Christophe overflowed with the Holy Spirit. It was on that Friday on July 12th, 2019 where I saw their branch from the vine bear fruit.
Patricia prepared a selection of hors d’oueuvres for all of us. By this point, I just embraced the generosity that Patricia and Christophe would show to me and the guests of the house. The abundance in their desire to give was otherworldly. There was no sense of reluctance. They asked nothing in return. They didn’t keep score of their generosity as a debt to be repaid.
It was beautiful. And because of their generosity, God, indeed blessed them greatly. Patricia and Christophe put their house to good use all for the Lord.
“We are blessed to have this house, but it’s not ours. It’s the Lord’s. He can easily take away everything as he can give…”
There was once a time when their house held over 70-100 people for an assembly. They used and continue to use their house to welcome and worship God.
Now, during the assembly of our Bible study, I could see the extended flow of blessings. I met other brothers and sisters who were just as adamant to grow with God- who showed the type of fire that burned bright, a light on this very night of the Bible study.
We gathered around. We opened in prayer. I prayed quietly and listened to the beauty of worship songs in French.
Those who worship… worship in spirit and truth.
Both spirit and truth were present as worship commenced and together we learned more of God’s will for all of us.
Instead of a testimony, these are the notes from that very night in Alsace, France. I share this with anyone who hungers to grow in discipleship with God.
