How To Manifest Your Destiny
The reminder of how to manifest your destiny even if you already know how to.
It comes as no surprise. The world doesn’t want you to fulfill your destiny. The cycle of the world is vicious. It is stubborn and unbending. In one way or another we have been affected by the world. We have been birthed out into the chaos with cries and pains. This is the story of humanity, yet fortunately enough, it does not have to be the story which defines our lives.
The moment our eyes open up to the truth is the moment we realize that we actually have a choice in this world.
We can either conform to the current world and its temptations, or we can decide to go against it….
Instead of conforming to the world, we can go against it and be a rebel. We can create a new world.
It’s so easy to fall into bad habits because “that’s just the way of the world” to repeat bad habits, bad history over and over again.
It’s not about competing against the world.
We do not have to be strategic to try to compete and beat the world. We just have to create and do something in our lives that would be worth dying for.
There will always be suffering in the world — and because we are in it — we will experience it first-hand.
But amidst the suffering, we can choose to dwell and wallow or make some good come out of it. This “goodness” comes from the realization of our gift and manifesting our destiny.
According to Dr. Myles Munroe, here’s how.
Never Tolerate What You Hate
Famous evangelist and writer— Dr. Myles Munroe — dedicated his life to helping people find purpose and what that would truly look like in every individual’s life. He has written books such as In Pursuit of Purpose: The Key to Personal Fulfillment and The Principles and Power of Vision: Keys to Achieving Personal and Corporate Destiny.
According to Dr. Munroe:
Most humans on earth live on earth but never manifest themselves.
Discontent is the seed of change.
You will never change what you tolerate.
What are you tolerating in your life? If you suffer from “nice” syndrome. I get it. Kindness should prevail.
But there is a difference between tolerating whatever — niceness — and acting out of the goodness of your heart — kindness.
Kindness is stemmed from doing the right thing — doing good.
There are many “nice” people — some for the best of intentions, other times, for the worst. You probably have met them before.
The problem with this mentality is that it perpetuates the problems of the world. We begin to tolerate them because it is the nice thing to do.
The same applies to our own lives and inner worlds.
If you tolerate something toxic within yourself, you will never change and become the person you could be.
Your Life Is Defined By What You Love
According to Dr. Munroe, your life is defined by what you hate.
Go ahead. Write down what you hate.Turn these into statements and then invert them.
If it’s truly what you hate, then more than likely, its inverse is one of your core values.
Write down what you hate. Then, figure out its antonym.
I hate when_______________________________ → Inverse = ______________
I “hate” when …
People decide to make insensitive comments , stereotypes, and continue to believe in these stereotypes even after exposure to truths.
Inverse = I enjoy surrounding myself with people who are compassionate, willing to learn, and people who take into consideration multiple viewpoints even if they have beliefs of their own. I value the open-mindedness of people, their thoughts, beliefs, and opinions.
- I “hate” when people are condescending toward others. → Inverse = I value humility. I believe that there is always something to be learned and that everyone has equal worth.
- I hate when people take advantage of others. → Inverse = I value integrity and treating people equally with kindness and respect, no matter who they are and where they come from.
When you list out the things you “hate” you might be able to see a pattern. Perhaps the things you hate could all fall under the same category. You gain clarity on what you love.
If you hate something so much, start prioritizing what you love and put it into action in all arenas of your life — at work, with yourself, and with the relationships you build with those around you.
Our Habits Shape Our Destiny
Dr. Munroe also highlights how we don’t decide our future. We decide our habits. And these habits decide our future and control our destiny.
Our gift is hidden within us and we have to embark on the journey to figure out and bring out this gift to fruition.
The journey will look different for everyone, but it will be a journey nonetheless.
Dr. Munroe emphasizes that whatever we are searching for cannot be found in this world and its materiality. The future is trapped in the inside.
Whatever you were born to do does not lie ahead.
It’s within you — just dormant — and you are the only person who can unlock the dormant destiny within yourself.
Forget Tradition. Be A Rebel.
A big problem in our society is the emphasis on a prescribed definition of “The American Dream”. One which entails a person to follow the traditional route: Go to college, get a high-paying job, have a family, work tons of hours, retire (and possibly still work tons of hours), then die. Even our educational system cycles out the same mantra.
What’s ironic is that this was never the definition that the forefathers of the USA advocated.
We say American Dream, and we only see a washed-out color of illusion.
American Dream to the pilgrims and pioneers meant freedom.
American Dream during the Civil Rights meant freedom, too.
American Dream to immigrants meant… you guessed it… freedom as well.
Many of us have decided to take on “employment” because of the security but not for the dream. We sometimes make the choice because we think we have no other choice.
Dr. Munroe cites our fixation with “employment” as the dream killer. It hinders us from realizing our true destiny — the innate skills within us.
To Dr. Munroe, we are taught to find our future instead of finding our gift.
Our gift is our future.
Our gift is the source of value — whatever you were meant to do — you were meant to add value to this world. Whatever your gift is , refine it so that you can add value to yourself and the world.
The Steps To Manifest Your Destiny

- Believe you have the ability to fulfill it.
- Live by the laws and principles that protect your gift.
- Have a plan toward your gift.
- Have the right people around you.
- Persistence — handle the pressure to go after your gift.
- Persevere — you will always have opposition and failures.
- Pray over your gift to manifest your gift.
What would it look like if you manifested your future right now in the given moment? What would you do? How would you schedule your day? Let me know in the comments. 🙂
