What Is The Call Of Destiny To You?
I want to know.
What is the call of destiny to you? What definition do you prescribe to it, or have we all simply arrived to a general consensus based on hearsay and what we have read.
Is the answer as simple as this?
We are living out destiny right now.
How is it looking?
Is it all that you had imagined it to be?
If not, perhaps the answer to that question is to simply change it. You do not have to wait until the alignment of the stars, for The Fates to spin the thread of life, nor the gut-stabbing (okay, maybe not gut-stabbing) epiphany that it’s time to change what destiny looks like in your life.
According to Ryan Holiday:
“People think they have to live a life they don’t want for a long time so that eventually, off in the distant future, they can live a life they do want.”
Reflect on your core values. What do they reveal to you? In this moment, are you living up to your values or do you fall short of living a value-centered life?
Does your outer world match up to the inner world you have constructed for yourself?
I do not write this because I am an expert.
I write this because I am allowing my inner walls to fall down — to absorb the wisdom from ancient truths of those who came before me — I need to change my destiny.
We create destiny in this present moment. We choose to act with intention aligned with our values… or we don’t. When it comes to destiny, there is no gray area. It’s call destiny for a reason.
While there will be obstacles and struggles along the way, if we really want something, we will succeed.
“So tell me what you want, what you really, really want.” — Spice Girlstheascent.pub
But more than just that…
When we really love something — our passion or mission — we will succeed.
This life and call to destiny is about figuring out what we love and be willing to fight for it to the end.
It’s Destiny If You Would Be Willing To Fight For It… Not Let Go
What would you be willing to fight for in this lifetime?
If you can answer this question, part of destiny has already been revealed to you.
When it comes to your destiny, you need to fight for it — not simply wait on the sidelines and think the world or the conspiracy of stars in the universe will take care of destiny for you.
The world won’t help you.
The world will go against you as it has for many people who have given up on their dreams and traded it for the world.
However, we give the world more power than we ought to. The world — society — does not control our destiny.
Can you say with 100% certainty that you will wake up tomorrow? Can we truly make the bold statement to the universe that tomorrow is entitled to us?
Do you feel you are privileged… worthy enough… to be given another tomorrow?
I know. These are morbid questions. Yet, if we approached life more like a ticking clock, we would use our time more wisely. We would add the value needed to create the life designed for us.
The moment we make ourselves into a god is the moment we fall.
We do not know all the answers in this universe. Our days are marked.
But it still remains the same. We are creating destiny in these waking moments. We are creating it now.
Call To Destiny
“You look like you love to explore,” the waitress said as she gave me the bill.
Maybe it was the fact that I ate alone that destiny-filled day several months ago.
Perhaps she made the inference based on the journal I wrote in as I waited for the food. Whatever led her to that conclusion, it didn’t matter.
She was right. And I smiled.
“Yes. I do like to explore. How did you know?”
“I could just tell.” She said smiling.
After finishing my food, I sat there mystified, pondering her words, then stopping to realize.
This was the call of destiny and I was living it.
Now the question is, how do we stay true to our values and destiny moment-by-moment.
Can you do it?
I think you can.
What is your declaration to the Universe right now in this moment?
The moment you do is the moment you are going against all odds — a journey that lasts a lifetime — but is worth the risk because it.is.your.destiny.
In this world, there will be many things that will be against you.
But take heart, there will be many things for you, too.
Declare your destiny. Act on it.
